Obviously ags are a little bit on the move. Now, when we’re talking about ags I’m usually talking about corn, soybean and wheat but you do have in the grain markets.
Over here you can see where I’m hyperlinking this so you’re looking at oats, rough rice, soybean oil moving. There’s the soy and then corn.
Usually when I’m talking about ags I’m talking about corn, soy and wheat and then also the two derivatives of soil which would be soybean meal and then soybean oil.
If you’ve never traded these things they have a couple of things that you need to know about them. They have a limit up moves. Limit up and limit down.
Now some people are incorrectly call them lack limit moves. They’re not lack limit moves. They just limit the upside and the downside. If you’re on the wrong side of trade you can get trapped in that and it can hurt.
Also if you’ve never traded corn, soybean or wheat they’re just odd if you’ve never traded them you don’t understand how they work. If you might want to dip your toe in the water with is a ETF.
So you can DBA which is going to be an Invesco DB Agriculture Fund. It’s going to pretty much have a lot of different ags in there. If you just want to trade Corn you can type in CORN on your platform.
And it’s basically a corn fund so those are two options to you if you don’t want to trade futures because I know some of you just don’t want to trade them. And you can trade ETFs.
And ETFs are like just trading a big fund in exhange to traded fund. It’s just like a stock. There you have it. You might want to take a look at the ags. They’re moving.
