I’ve got a question from a viewer should we shift out of the December contract on bonds and into the March? Answer is yes and maybe no so here’s my short answer on this. If you’re just day trading keep on trading the December contract until you get to second weekend days and then whatever platform you’re using. They’ll row you out automatic in anyway.
If you’re planning on swing trading those bad boys. Yeah. I would. I would roll over into the March contract as soon as you possibly can. I messed up the word possibly there. I just stumbled all over my tongue and teeth right there.
But if you’re going to hold it for a longer period of time, the longer period of time that you can hold would be the March contract. I would definitely do that if you can do it as soon as possible so it really depends on your time factor.
If you’re only going to hold them for intra-day. It really doesn’t matter. If you’re not going to plan on holding them until past the December it doesn’t matter. If you are in a swing trade and you want to hold that thing for longer than say 30 days from now. Yes. I would recommend that you roll the contract.
