Michael’s C-Clamp Setup

Michael’s C-Clamp Setup Hubert Senters here. Got a question from a viewer. Hubert, MRNA has a wide ”Clamp” the difference between the Turning and Standard line. I read about Ichimoku trading, when this forms a C-clamp look” price will tend to fill the gap at some point. I have seen this on several occassions in the past. But of course, timing this is the tricky part. I tend not to get into stocks that are forming a wide ”C-clamp” until it fills. What are your thoughts? Michael. So for MRNA, I wouldn’t worry about it too much because it’s a slightly different trade. It’s kind of like. It’s a vaccine play so it’s going to be basically all momentum. But I see what you’re talking about. What you’re talking about here is the difference between the turning line and the standard line. Let me just double check if that’s what you said really quick. When the price action is moving with some volatility or momentum it will break away from. The turning line will breakaway from the standard line. They’re just midpoint averages but anytime something creates a gap it does have a high degree of probability that at some point in time that’s going to be filled. It just all depends on when it is. That’s the tricky part like you said in your email. The tricky part is the timing. So on this one not so much. What I tend to do on vertical moves like this I know they’re going to pullback at some point. So what I would do I’ll do this. I will go from this low point to that high point I think it’s going to pullback to the $123 to $116 area which trails very nicely with the turning line. So that’s the way I look at that stop. But if I did see something that just exploded and then traded consolidation I would think it would fill sooner rather than later. So it really depends on the play but as long as that’s your rule and you don’t want to do that I would say don’t break that rule. For me when I’m trading speculative vaccine type plays which you are all fear, greed and momentum. The technicals aren’t as important as they normally are because I’m trading a vertical move. And the vertical move will go vertical up then it will come back and try to haunt you down and kill you. So you can use it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I would just incorporate into your checklist like those are not the trades that you take than those are just the trades you take. I like the thinking process that you’re going through it. And it sounds like you’re on the educational route learning how to use Ichimoku so sounds like you’re doing really good stuff. Good luck. Hope it helps. See you on the next video. Hubert.
