Anyway let’s take a look at Uber today on the free video, UBER. Love the service unicorn that makes that loses money very common in Silicon Valley. I invest in a lot of this stuff. If you don’t know how to do it you should learn how to do it. It’s a great way to generate a lot of wealth. If you know how to play the game correctly.
Now the ones I love to make fun of are paper unicorns that burn through cash faster than they can burn and Uber is one of those. It’s a wonderful service. If you’ve never used Uber or Lyft I highly recommend you use the service. They’re super unprofitable.
One of my strategies that I like to use tactical wise on IPOs is once they go IPO I write down the open price of the IPO as you can see right up here and the high mark. So in this case, it’s going to be $45.15. What I want to do is I want to buy at a 50 percent discount.
Okay. So there’s two strategies you can either buy is making a new high in here in this case you just lost massive amounts of money.
The better strategy in my opinion is wait for a 50 percent discount. $45 divided by $2 is going to be $22.50. So you still got a drop from $28 down to $22 just in order to buy this thing at a discount so that would be my recommendation.
