Can You Go Long and Short in an IRA?

Hubert Senters here.

Got a question from Walter on Saturday 4/3/2021. I attended the webinar on the bond trading course. I tend to ask question but for some reason I would not pick in the chat anywhere. I’ll try it again.

Can this be used going long and or short on futures contracts in your IRA? Walter, I actually did as answer your question you must not heard it. But I tell you again. No problem.

Yeah, most brokers will let you go long and short in an IRA. Now, some will require that you will put it in trust first.

It’s just a simple process of putting your money in a trust and then trading, putting your IRA into trust. That way you can trade whatever. You can trade whatever you want.

You can trade gold in there, cryptos, real estate, businesses. If you’re in the trading kittens, I guess you could do that. I don’t know why you would do it but yes, you can do it.

Some brokers require to be put in an IRA and others don’t. It just depends on your individual brokerage account. Good question though.

I’ve been asked to speak at the Wealth 365 live online event. I’ve been asked to speak over there with Rob and his crew.

I’m going to be speaking in 13 days. I’m going to show you how you can find really great trades. i should say potential really great trades because nothing is guaranteed in financial markets in about three clicks or less.

So if you’re interested in learning that type of information. Put your first name here, email there and an optional telephone number.

Good luck. Hope it helps. And I will HYPERLINK you to the registration page.

Hubert.
